Tina
The Donated Dress
Tina's dress was from 1995. It has a beautiful satin base with an ivory organza overlay. Decorative beads adorn the dress. Sequins came in discolored at the time of donation and were removed during the construction process.
The Construction
The new dress was made entirely from the original gown's skirt fabric. Teh new skirt was re-patterened and re-shaped to be tee-length and have no train. The original train was then cut off and used in the sleeves. Some of the lace had to be picked-off and reattached during the process.
The Style
The original dress had specific lace placement motifs that was decided to remain on the reinvented dress. The skirt was re-shaped to have a bustle in the back and a flat front.
